Guernsey’s “greatest” creative minds have been busy trying to trick the public this morning.
So what did they come up with – and were you fooled? No, no, probably not.
First up, will visitors have to tread their way around cow pats at Candie Gardens?
OK, just imagine what would happen to the flower beds should a herd of Guernsey’s take over? Although, animals have been given the run of the grounds in the past, but fortunately the gates are closed when the police dogs are in training.
Guernsey has a housing crisis, we’ve been told that repeatedly, so has the States begun drawing up plans to “buy” Delancey Park to help?
Should we check with St Sampson Douzaine who own the park? Will the protestors be ready with their banners again? Hmmm, let’s think.
Not even the States would go that far in wiping one of the remaining bits of green leisure spaces in the north. That said, there are plans for plenty of houses to be built nearby…
Will be raising this at the next Douzaine meeting: the States are considering compulsory purchasing Delancy Park for housing. @BBCGuernsey @GuernseyPress @ITVChannelTV @BailiwickGsy @islandfm pic.twitter.com/iXPrIwKPHj

Herm needs visitors, so could bring back Wallabies really be their answer?
In the late 19th and early 20 century Prince Gebhard Furst Blucher von Wahlstatt was the island’s tenant and introduced the marcopod, although their fate was gather grisly when they were allegedly shot in a drunken hunt.
Given Herm Island has said the next stage will be Woolly Mammoths, we think this idea is extinct.
There’s nothing suspicious about a Facebook page with no followers created yesterday, with a comment from a CEO with no friends who has a profile picture that is a stock image that’s at least six years old, right? And a web link that doesn’t work.
If you think that is all fine, then you probably believe that the new series of Bergerac is being filmed here rather than in Jersey.
Oh, and the image was created in Grok.
Arrows, arrows, arrows. Hmmm. I know – put a B in front of it!!
Yes, yes, Red Barrows, brilliant.
Mind you, it might be all they can afford across the water in Jersey to replace the Battle of Flowers, so they can have that one for free.
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hanging out at Beau Sejour?
Having quit the world of football management, we guess lifeguard could be on his list.
There’s obviously a few tell tale signs that not all is as it seems in that picture, though, and those legs are just not tanned enough for someone enjoying retirement!
And while some people were speculating whether the Guernsey Press’ loss of colour from its logo was connected with the day, or signalled a period of mourning we didn’t know about, it appears that rebrand is no joke.
