A Charlie and Lola themed tea party will feature during this spring’s Guernsey Literary Festival.
The children’s book series is 25 years old now – and in the 14th year of the Literary Festival, author Lauren Child will host the regular interactive ‘Family Tea Party’ event.
Additional family events during the Festival, between 23 April and 7 May include sessions with Phil Earle, Rachel Bright, as well as author-illustrator Jarvis.

As part of its efforts to nurture reading and writing among young people, the 2026 education programme includes events in pre-schools, primary, and secondary schools across the Bailiwick.
Authors and illustrators who will be making visits to schools include MC Grammar, A.F. Harrold, Athena Kugblenu, Jarvis, Margaret Jones, Margaret McDonald, Huw Lewis-Jones, Jono Lancaster, Nathanael Lessore, Ross Raisin, and Sarah Corbett.
The annual WriteStuff Awards also returns this year, celebrating original writing by children and young people from across the Bailiwick.
