Art for Guernsey is running a new competition with the Guernsey Literary Festival, to find the face of ‘Time & Tide’.

The art organisation is giving creatives the chance to have their work grace the cover of an anthology of short stories to be launched during the 2026 Festival.

The Guernsey Literary Festival launched the ‘Time & Tide’ short story competition earlier this year. It is still accepting submissions from anyone aged 18 and over, who was born in or currently lives in the Bailiwick.

A book comprising the short stories will be published by Blue Ormer next year ahead of the spring Literary Festival.

The winner of Art for Guernsey’s competition will be the ‘face’ of that anthology.

“The collection will celebrate an array of original creative voices from across the Bailiwick and explore the theme and title ‘Time & Tide’ – stories shaped by personal memories, imagined futures, and the rhythms of island life,” explained Art for Guernsey.

The artist behind the winning submission will receive ten tickets to any of the festival events of their choice, excluding workshops or special events.

Submissions are available online through the website, HERE, with the window open until the 30 November.
