16-year-old Theo Horton is taking on a big challenge in aid of a good cause today.
The teenager is running an ultra-marathon around the coast of Guernsey in aid of Bowel Cancer Guernsey.
He set off from Havelet Bay at 06:00, and is following the coast the whole way around the island.
He’s due to finish at Havelet Bay at around 14:00.
Theo told Express he was motivated to raise awareness and funds for Bowel Cancer Guernsey after his uncle’s recent diagnosis.
Since under-18s are not allowed to take part in official marathons or ultramarathons, Theo decided to organise his own to challenge himself while raising money for the charity.
Having surpassed his initial fundraising target of £750, Theo is now aiming for £1,000.
You can donate to Theo’s challenge via his Giving.gg page.
