It was drifting north in the tide and the St Peter Port All Weather Lifeboat Spirit of Guernsey was launched to “locate and recover” the vessel, with six crew on board.
The initial call for help had come at 20:24 and the lifeboat was launched at 21:45.
The Blue Lagoon was towed into St Peter Port harbour, arriving at 23:08.

Earlier on Sunday, two people were rescued after trying to walk back from Lihou against the rising tide.
The coastguard received a call from members of their family on Lihou, and while the lifeboat crew made their way to the scene, a fishing boat which was at Rocquaine headed to Lihou.
The crew of Little M were able to pull the two people from the water, with the remaining four still on Lihou picked up by the Inshore Lifeboat. All six were taken back to St Peter Port by the lifeboat.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, a French sailor needed help after suffering a suspected broken shoulder at sea.
The Alderney lifeboat and the Channel Islands Air Search helped a French helicopter and lifeboat with the rescue mission.
The whole mission took almost three hours, with the sailor being winched aboard the helicopter, via the French lifeboat, with assistance from the CIAS and lifeboat crews. The casualty was then taken back to France for treatment.
