This year, the Committee will cover the cost of the vaccination and fund £7 towards the cost of administration for islanders between the ages of 50 and 64.
Those who are in this age group, but have not yet received their vaccine, are asked to contact their doctor’s surgery to make an appointment.
Additionally, as the vaccination programme for COVID-19 begins, islanders have been reminded that there has to be a period of seven days between the administration of the two vaccines.
“Anyone who intends to take the flu vaccine should arrange to do so sooner rather than later,” said an HSC spokesperson.
“The vaccine protects both individuals and the wider community by limiting the spread of the flu virus. This year, it is more important than ever that islanders protect themselves from seasonal flu.”
