Today’s event is one of a series of beach cleans organised by the two organisations with a number of regular volunteers expected to turn out.
If anyone else wants to join the group you can meet at Portelet kiosk at 11:00. Adults and children are all welcome; gloves, litter pickers and bags are provided and free hot drinks will be available.
Previous similar events have seen bags of rubbish collected from Guernsey’s beaches including waste which has washed up from overseas or been dumped from passing boats.
