Fortnightly accessible cycling sessions will begin again this month.
The Wheels For You hub will re-open on Sunday 27 April from 09:30 until 12:00, providing a welcoming space for people of all abilities to enjoy cycling in a safe environment.
It offers the use of adapted tricycles and bicycles.
“We are thrilled to be able to re- launch our outdoor sessions at Les Beaucamps High School” said Caroline Barby of Wheels for You.
“Having continued to provide a service at Beau Sejour throughout winter, our team looks forward to welcoming users to these regular sessions.
“Our aim is to create accessible cycling opportunities for individuals who are unable to ride or access traditional two-wheeled bicycles.
“People of all ages and abilities attend our sessions, enabling them to experience the joy of cycling, along with its associated health benefits, in a safe and inclusive environment.”
The launch event will also provide an opportunity for members of the community who need some confidence-building bike handling tips from a trained instructor.
“There will be a safe off road area to practice, and we’d encourage anyone who would benefit from practising riding in a straight line, making tight turns and controlling their speed in a traffic-free environment, to come along,” said Amy Woollaston-Winn, active travel officer at the Health Improvement Commission.
There will be some bikes available to use, or anyone is welcome to bring their own.
There will be refreshments and snacks available.
