Wheels for You is expanding its offering for this year, by moving from fortnightly to weekly sessions.

The 2026 season begins with a launch event on Tuesday 7 April, taking place from 13:00 to 16:00 at the go-kart track at Victoria Avenue, a new venue for the charity.

The charity said sessions will then alternate between two locations, with Tuesday afternoon sessions taking place at the track and Sunday morning sessions at the original site, Les Beaucamps High School.

Wheels for You said its new site is down to support it’s received from Karting Guernsey and Bels Football Club.

“We have had a fantastic indoor season at Beau Sejour and have seen lots of regulars and plenty of new faces too,” Rebecca Silk, the Accessible Cycling Coordinator at Wheels for You.

“We are so excited to take our trikes back outside again. This year feels particularly special because, for the first time, we will be running weekly outdoor sessions rather than fortnightly.

“Being able to expand across two venues is a big step forward for Wheels for You, and we are so grateful to Karting Guernsey, Bels Football Club and Les Beaucamps High School for their support.”

The Health Improvement Commission has also announced that it will run Adult Cycle Confidence sessions starting next month.

Amy Woollaston, Active Travel Officer, said these sessions are designed to complement the accessible cycling programme for adults learning to ride.

“We are delighted to see Wheels for You returning to outdoor sessions this spring, especially alongside the exciting news of their expansion.

“This charity is very close to our hearts, as they work tirelessly to make the joy of cycling accessible to all islanders, regardless of age or ability.

“We are equally pleased to share our plans to relaunch the Adult Cycle Confidence programme, which will run alongside the accessible cycling sessions from late May.”
