In the Royal Court on Friday, Joao Pedro Vieira pleaded not guilty to a charge of raping a woman at an address in St Saviour on 30 August last year.
Mr Vieira was remanded on bail until 23 June, when a pre-trial hearing will be held.
A four-day Assize trial is scheduled for 1 November, but will be moved to an earlier date if one becomes available.
