46-year-old Barrie Cank appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Friday where his case was officially sent to be dealt with by the higher court.

Mr Cank was charged with the drug importation at the end of August this year and the case has now been deemed too serious to be dealt with by the Magistrate’s Court.

Advocate David Wilson was defending.

Relief Magistrate David Le Cornu informed Mr Cank that he will be informed of his Royal Court date in due course.

Mr Cank will remain in custody in the meantime.
