Neil McInally, 30, was brought back to Jersey with the help of the Scottish Police for the importation of £110,000 of the class A drug. McInally’s co-accused were all given significant prison sentences for their involvement in February 2014.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Steve Langford said, “The States of Jersey Police recognise the impact the distribution of these drugs would have on the local community. Following today’s sentencing we continue to remain committed to working with all enforcement agencies in bringing anyone involved in Drug trafficking criminality to justice. These efforts extend, where possible, to those in other jurisdictions who seek financial gain through exploiting Jersey illicit drug market.”

The Police operation, codenamed Operation Spehere, began in May 2013.
