1. Time for a tide education
We absolutely LOVE the beach and we are very familiar with our coastline and the changing tides. We think it would be great for children to learn a little bit more about this in primary school.

We have heard of so many children (and adults) getting caught out on the beach by the tide, if they just knew what to look for and when to start heading back inshore it would save the RNLI and Coastguard a lot of time.
2. Bin the litter on our beautiful beaches
Keep our beautiful beaches clean! We think there needs to be better policing and harsher consequences for people who litter our beaches. When we are out walking the beaches every weekend we find so much litter, it doesn’t take two minutes to put all of your rubbish in a bag and dump it in the nearest bin.
3. Cut back on cars
We recently visited family in the North of England and on our return to Jersey we noticed so much more just how many cars there are on the roads here! We totally understand that England is a lot bigger than Jersey but the congestion on the Jersey roads is just crazy! More walking to school and work, especially in the summer months.
4. Support for start-ups!
Give start-up businesses a fighting chance! The White Shell Co was set up in October 2016 with virtually no money, recently we have discussed and considered the option of opening a small shop but quickly realised that this is virtually impossible with the rent prices in St Helier. Why not rent out already empty shops in St Helier to local businesses at a reduced cost? Surely any income is better than none?
5. Escape to the beach…
Feeling hot? If the temperature rises above 30C in the summer months, let’s send everyone to the beach for a sea swim.
