The man was arrested at 08:20 this morning and remains in custody at Police Headquarters.
It follows an arrest of a 58-year-old male on the same basis, just days after the discovery of Mrs Rebelo’s body. He was subsequently released on Police bail.
Both men will be interviewed today.
Police recently said that they were pursuing over 160 lines of enquiry in the case. They believe Mrs Rebelo died due to, “…compression to the neck by a third party”.
