We’ve seen more rain this month already than the average for February and last month was the wettest January since records began back in 1894.
It’s been a very soggy winter so far with 368.7 mm of rain, much higher than the average 277.3 mm and with another two weeks to go until the end of the meteorological winter, it looks like we could end up with more rain than the wettest on record – the winter of 1994 / 1995 when we saw 485.4 mm of rain.

We saw more heavy rain and showers over the weekend and we can expect more sleety showers today.
But we could see the sun come out tomorrow and on Wednesday.
