The pair – who are known to each other – were reportedly walking together from Snow Hill, when the man became “physically aggressive”.
According to Police, he grabbed the woman at one point from behind.

Police were called and arrived shortly after. They arrestedd the man at the scene, and later released him on bail.
The woman sustained what were described as “minor” injuries, but nonetheless received treatment at the Emergency Department.
Police are now appealing for more information about what happened, and are urging witnesses to get in touch.

They provided the following descriptions of the pair: “The man, aged 59 is slim, 5ft 7” with short, grey curly hair and he was wearing a green hoody and jeans.
“The woman in her early 40s is slim with dark, shoulder-length, frizzy hair and she was wearing a black jacket and black trousers.”
