With temperatures set to surpass 30°C this Bank Holiday weekend, islanders are being encouraged to make the most of the sunshine with a packed programme of music, sport, culture and community events across Jersey.
Every weekend, Express presents a selection of exhibitions, performances, workshops and more to help islanders get their weekly dose of culture.

RENDEZVOUS 2026 – Mont Orgueil
An open-air house music event will take place at Mont Orgueil Castle this Sunday 24 May.
Rendezvous returns to the venue for the second year running, with Defected DJ YASMIN headlining, alongside Simon Gasston, DJ Fonz, Helen Racjan and Gary Ashpole.
The bring-your-own-booze event kicks off from 6pm with last entry at 7.30pm. It ends at 11:30pm, with attendees invited to a free afterparty at Bar Nautique until 2am.

Candles on the Beach
Jersey Hospice Care is inviting islanders to attend the annual ‘Candles on the Beach’ remembrance event at St Brelade’s Bay this Saturday 23 May.
The evening offers islanders a chance to remember their loved ones at a shared ceremony on the beach.
Candles cost £5 each, and guests are advised to book in advance, although walk-ins are accepted if candles are still available. Attendance is free.
The event starts at 7:30pm, and candles will be lit at 8.45pm before a quiet reflection period.

St John’s Fête
St John’s Parish Church is set host a fête on Monday 25 May from 11am to 4.30pm.
There will be food stalls, games, music and entertainment.
The event is free, with families encouraged to attend.
Medieval enterntainment
Jersey Heritage is hosting four days of medieval entertainment at Mont Orgueil Castle, hosted by a historical re-enactment group.
Activities will include calligraphy, brass rubbing, medieval cooking, hobby horse jousting and a mythical beast trail, with knights in armour also battling twice daily.
Performers and musicians from around Europe will be recreating medieval life at the castle.
Usual entry fees will apply, but Jersey Heritage members and children under six can get in for free.

Women’s Muratti
Jersey is set to host Guernsey for the Women’s Muratti, an anticipated annual fixture in Channel Islands football.
The match will take place on Saturday 23 May at Springfield Stadium from 1:30pm.
Tickets cost £8 for under-18s and £12 for adults.

13th Parish Film Festival
The 13th Parish International Film Festival is now underway and will run until Sunday 24 May.
The seventh edition of the festival features contemporary film from all over the world, mostly screened at the Jersey Arts Centre.
Tickets cost £6 before 6pm or £8 after 6pm. Tickets for the 10am and 12pm screenings are £4. There are reduced prices for concessions.
