Islanders are being encouraged to wear blue and yellow next week as part of a fundraising day in memory of a five-year-old boy.
The event will take place on Friday 17 October to mark the one-year anniversary of the death of Kason Le Flahec.

His mother Ellie Le Flahec described her son as a “beautiful, loving soul who had his whole life ahead of him and deserved the world”.
She explained that she wants islanders to wear blue and yellow to celebrate Kason’s love for the cartoon characters minions.
The proceeds raised on ‘Kason’s Day’ will be shared between three causes: Centrepoint Trust, Mont à l’Abbé School, and Autism Jersey.
Kason, who was autistic and non-verbal, attended Mont a L’Abbe School.
His mother said: “They did such a great job with him, his development and speech were coming along so nicely.”
Ms Le Flahec explained that her son also attended Centrepoint during the holidays, adding: “The staff there were so good with him, and they have been ever so supportive since Kason’s death.”
Local businesses and schools including Mont à l’Abbé and Samarès, are hosting events in memory of Kason throughout next week, encouraging pupils and staff to get involved by wearing coloured clothing.

His mother said: “I would really like to make the day special for him to celebrate his life.
“It would also be special for my seven-year-old son Jakob, who misses his brother dearly.”
Ms Le Flahec said that her family has had “the worst year of our lives” since Kason’s death in October 2024.
“The day I had to tell Jakob that his brother passed away was just as hard as losing my son,” she said. “They weren’t just brothers but were best friends.”
She hopes that the money raised on Kason’s Day will go towards supporting other local families and children.
Lesley Harrison, Head of Charitable Services at Autism Jersey, said: “Kason was a beautiful, much loved and much missed little boy.
“Autism Jersey will be joining in the celebration of Kason’s life on 17 October, and promoting the wearing of blue and yellow in honour of Kason and his love for minions.”
“The share of monies raised for Autism Jersey will be used to support our family activities for children and their families.
“These events provide a very welcome opportunity for autistic children to be their authentic selves and have fun and laughter without judgement, and what a wonderful way to use that funding in celebration of Kason’s life.”
Blue and yellow balloons will also be released from La Mare Slip at 14:00 on Friday 17 October.
Ms Le Flahec said: “This beach has a lot of meaning as Kason lived in St Clements his whole life.”
Islanders are then invited to the Shipwright Pub in St Helier to continue celebrating Kason’s life, with attendees encouraged to donate in his honour.
