Blue Islands has been ordered to pay more than £17,000 to one of its former pilots following the collapse of the airline last year.
Mark Chadwick worked as an airline captain for the company until his employment was terminated on 17 November 2025 when the airline went into liquidation.
Blue Islands ceased trading at the end of last year whilst owing £9.1m to the government and almost £3.3m to the Ports of Jersey.
As a condition of his employment, Mr Chadwick had to pay a training bond of £20,000.
The money was due to be repaid to him in monthly increments by Blue Islands over the course of three years.
The Employment and Discrimination Tribunal heard that Mr Chadwick had only received five of these payments when the airline went bust, leaving an outstanding balance of £17,225.
The claim was undefended by Blue Islands, so tribunal chair Dr Elena Moran handed down a judgment in default.
