A former police officer accused of grooming a teenage girl walked free from the Royal Court this morning after Jurats cleared her of the charge.
Elle Rebecca Keens was found not guilty following an eight-day trial.
The 29-year-old had been accused of sending sexually suggestive messages to the young girl.
But Ms Keens said that some messages had been innocent affection, some had been sent merely to appease the teenager.
Others were said to have been fabricated by the girl after she gained access to Ms Keens’s TikTok account.
Ms Keens admitted perverting the course of justice by contacting the teenager and asking her to withdraw her statement.
She will return to court on 20 June to hear a date for her sentencing on that charge.
