When the Fire Service arrived, a 22-year-old woman was still inside one of the cars suffering with chest and mouth pain. With the assistance of paramedics, she was able to exit the vehicle and was taken to hospital for checks. Express has learned that the injured woman was treated at the Emergency Department and has since been discharged.
The wet weather has seemingly been at fault for two other car crashes over the weekend.

Another RTC involving two vehicles occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning on La Grande Route de Saint-Jean.
The Fire Service’s Green Watch also attended a second crash in the Havre des Pas area.

Fortunately, no one was harmed in these two incidents, but the Fire Service has urged islanders to “drive appropriately for these wet conditions” as well as making sure to “allow enough time for your journey to arrive safely.”
