Children who missed their annual nasal flu vaccination are being invited to attend a catch-up clinic taking place this afternoon to ensure they still have the chance to be protected this winter.

The clinic will run at the Jersey General Hospital between 4pm and 5pm today (Monday 15 December) and is open to children who were aged two or over on 31 August 2025, up to those in Year 11.

The clinic has been arranged following queries from parents about whether their children could still receive the vaccine after missing earlier appointments.

The catch-up clinic will be held in the Outpatients Department of the hospital.

Health officials have reassured parents that the nasal spray vaccination is painless and quick to administer.

The Health Department said the initiative aims to reduce avoidable illness over the winter months and support a healthier run-up to Christmas, when colds and flu are more common.
