The Coastguard’s medals were handed out at a private ceremony at Maritime House, while eligible members of the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Service are also due to receive theirs later this year.
Also awarded the King’s Coronation Medal recently were members of Jersey’s living history group, the 1781 Militia, which portrays 18th Century military life based on the 1781 Jersey 4th Regiment Militia that took part in the Battle of Jersey on 6 January 1781.

They were responsible for a 21-gun salute at People’s Park to welcome King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the island during last week’s Royal Visit.
Other local recipients have included individuals who were directly involved in delivering the Coronation events, as well as members of the Bailiff’s Chambers Crowning Glory schools outreach programme, which saw 8,000 children make a crown to commemorate the celebrations.
