Local artist Tom Parker, who took up the reins of the Hill-based gallery after Sasha Gibb left to focus on her studies, chose to reveal only a few dates for this year’s calendar, explaining: “The last two years has shown us that we have to continually adapt to a changing calendar.”

The gallery will start the year on a strong note with an exhibition of greatest hits from its best-selling artists. This ‘Best Of’ will include limited edition original prints by Bruce McClean, Sir Terry Frost, Dan Baldwin, Barbara Rae RA, Damien Hirst, Lucy Farley and the Godfather of British Pop, Sir Peter Blake.

In a month in which we tend to hunker down and hibernate, CCA aims to brighten things up with a collection of art work curated for its joie de vivre.
Call to Art!

Although it’s only January, CCA Galleries is already thinking about its Summer Exhibition, and so should local artists.
Previous incarnations have had such a “positive response” from the community that it will be coming back, giving island artists the opportunity to showcase their work professionally hung and presented in a way that best shows the immense talent Jersey has to offer.
CCA will be inviting entries early in 2022. If artists have entered before, or if someone has only discovered their passion for art over the pandemic, CCA would invite them to take the opportunity to have their artwork seen by a panel of professionals, which will be announced in early spring.

The event has become a highlight of the Jersey cultural calendar, developed through the growing appetite for high quality, curated visual art in the island.
The exhibition is based on the successful model at the Royal Academy every summer. Exhibits are selected by a panel of professional artists and shown in a group selling exhibition.
As well as exhibiting at a prestigious, international gallery, being selected for the Jersey Summer Exhibition has helped launch the careers of promising local artists, as well as enforcing the reputation of those already established.
