Tom and Adrian, who both run their own businesses and have young children of their own, decided to take on the challenge after they realised how much of a struggle it could be for local families to support their children in these circumstances.
The duo began their cycle at Greenwich at on Friday morning.
They will first head to Dover, a nearly 80 mile cycle, getting the boat to France and setting off for their finishing point – the Eiffel Tower.

Mr Stead said: “We have been training for the past couple of months, heading out three times a week, going out at 05:00 to get our training in.”
He added that the pair are well on track to meet their target, as they had already raised £1,500 for the foundation.
