The six-month old pup has been sick for months after being infected by the Giardia parasite.
Despite more than £500 worth of treatment at the vets, she’s still not rid of the infection caused by the parasite that usually gives dogs diarrhoea but can kill them and can make humans sick too.
But it’s easy to stop the spread of it if owners clear up their dog’s mess.
Eco Active programme manager Jane Burns said: “The campaign resulted in a big reduction in the amount of dog mess. This is an issue that we need to keep talking about because people get complacent over time. I hope this very sad situation reminds people why it is so important to clear up after their dog.”
