A short film is out celebrating the 10th anniversary of the launch of the National Trust for Jersey’s coastline campaign.

You can watch the new film here, shot by Sark based film-maker Sue Daly, was made over a weekend in March and stars the Coastline Campaigner Mike Stentiford MBE, Vicky Border from the Fresh Fish Company and the head of Jersey Electricity Chris Ambler, along with a few Islanders who Sue ‘fell upon’ during her short visit.

It’s been made to compliment a programme of new activities and initiatives with a ‘coastal’ theme to mark the anniversary.

The National Trust’s Chief Officer Charles Alluto said: “This film and other themed events that we are delivering this year not only mark the tenth anniversary of this important campaign, but also seek to engage with our supporters in a fun way.

“We are delighted that funds raised will go towards the Coastline Campaign – helping us to protect Jersey’s remaining, unspoilt coastline for everyone, forever. We are also pledging to protect a further 1000 vergees by 2036 for our centenary.”

Jersey Electricity’s Chief Officer Chris Ambler said: ‘‘Jersey Electricity is delighted to have been able to help the National Trust mark this important milestone in its hugely important, and highly successful, Coastline Campaign with this film in this the Trust’s 80th anniversary year.”
