A community survey designed to shed light on the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community in the Channel Islands has been launched ahead of the 10th annual Pride event.

Equality charity Liberate, which organises the annual CI Pride events, has set up the online survey in a bid to better understand the issues and how they can represent the community.

The survey findings will be used to target their campaigns and focus on changes islanders want to see.

Key issues addressed in the survey include barriers for the LGBTQ+ in the Channel Islands, reasons for leaving the islands, actions that could be taken, and problems the community faces in the islands.

The questions are all optional, and anyone who takes the survey will remain completely anonymous. Anyone under 16 who wishes to engage in the survey is asked to seek consent from a parent or guardian.

Those who take the survey will also have the opportunity to win a ticket to all CI Pride 2026 events.

The survey can be found here.
