Decia De Jesus, who co-owns Ginger, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where she was charged with contravening a workplace order introduced in response to the pandemic, by failing to wear a mask or visor while serving food to the members of the public between 25 January and 15 March this year.

She was also charged with failing to comply with an ‘improvement notice’ issued by the covid enforcement team between 10 February and 15 March.

Ms De Jesus denied both charges and the case was adjourned until 27 July, when a pre-trial hearing will be held.
