The site of the former Havana nightclub – which closed at the end of last year – has been put up for sale for £1.75 million.
The four-storey building is located across 13-15 Halkett Street and 18a and 20-22 Bath Street.
Before all tenants were forced to vacate in December, the 13,500ft2 premises housed a dual-frontage retail unit, a nightclub, gym, hairdressers, and a three-bed maisonette.
The space is now being sold by Sarre & Company as a “mixed-use investment opportunity”.
Last year, the former owners of Havana announced the club was being “forced to close” due to reasons outside their control.
In a statement posted on social media, they explained that the decision was driven by building works unrelated to Havana.
The nightclub owners said that all tenants had been asked to vacate the building by Christmas Eve that year.
At the time, Havana manager Johnny Young emphasised that the closure was beyond the business’ control and not something they wanted to do.
“The nightclub closures will only give youngsters less choices of where to go, pushing them into house parties where drinking is not regulated and behaviour is not managed, meaning that things can quickly spiral out of control,” he said.
“My concern is for the kids who have nowhere to go.”
