Young dancers from Jersey are set to see eight months of hard work and rehearsals pay off when they perform at Disneyland Paris at the end of this month.
The Just Move Dance Studio team successfully auditioned for the Disney Performing Arts programme last September.
Since then, the 22 dancers have learnt to perform eight routines and mastered 40-second quick changes.

They have been rehearsing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays – on top of their normal dance classes – to perfect their 20-minute show ‘Dancin Fool’.
The Jersey team faced two rounds of auditions and prepared eight routines to Disney songs like ‘It’s a Small World’ and ‘Zero to Hero’ before being chosen to perform in the iconic theme park.
The dances were choreographed by Just Move teachers Danielle Brien and Paris Nield, who took inspiration from different styles of jazz.
They also received feedback from Disney, which has “strict” checks on shows to make sure they are child-friendly.

Some of the Jersey dancers are also set to feature in the theme park’s pre-parade show, featuring numbers choreographed by Disney.
The young performers will be wearing three different costumes, so had to master quick changes in which they only have 40 seconds to be ready for a new number.
Danielle said: “It was hard work at times for them.
“All the children have really improved with their dance ability.”
Beyond their dance skills, she praised how the all-girl team had picked up life skills like team work, commitment and hard work.

Danielle said she hoped to make the show “really enjoyable and memorable”, adding that it would be “an amazing experience” for the dancers.
The team from Just Move Dance Studio is scheduled to perform on 27 May at 16:00 on the Videopolis Stage at Disneyland Paris.
