A free running club for teenage girls is expanding to a second location as it enters its third year.
See Her Run is moving its Thursday sessions to Les Quennevais Sports Centre from 17 September, making the programme more accessible to teens living in the west of the Island.
The Tuesday sessions will continue to take place at the Sail Statue near the Radisson Blu in St Helier.
The club, which was launched in September 2024, offers girls from school Year 9 to Year 13 a safe and supportive environment in which to run outdoors together.
It has grown to more than 40 members and 14 trained volunteers, and last year introduced its She Starts Here course for new runners.
Founder and chair Ceri Tinley said: “We were thrilled with the response to our She Starts Here program.
“We’re now expanding our programme by launching a second location, enabling even more girls to discover the joy of running.
“See Her Run was set up to provide a fun, inclusive and non-competitive space to get active together.
“Having a new location at Les Quennevais means that girls who live in the west of the island will have easy access to join our club runs.”
Membership remains free, with each session running from 4.15pm until 5pm. Secure bag drops will be available at both locations from 4pm.
The sessions are led by volunteers who hold British Athletics’ Leaders in Running Fitness qualification, and are suitable for runners of all abilities and paces.
The new season is due to begin with a Scavenger Fun Run in St Helier on Tuesday 15 September, which is open to everyone. The first Les Quennevais session will follow on Thursday 17 September.
