More teenage girls will be able to benefit from a female-only run club next term as it prepares to expand its offering.
See Her Run has been offering free non-competitive run sessions to girls in school years 10 to 13 since September 2024.
The club is now expanding its offering to girls in Year 9.
The organisation is also set to launch a brand new programme for non-runners aged 13-18 from the start of the new academic year called ‘She Starts Here’.
The aim of the new programme is to guide new runners to be able to run 3k by October half-term.
All sessions on both programmes will be led by qualified volunteers with certifications from British Athletics.
See Her Run founder Ceri Tinley said the offering aims to “help even more girls discover the joy of running” by building fitness and confidence.
“We’ve been thrilled with the response to See Her Run in its first year,” she added.
“We’re now building on that success by opening our doors to Year 9 girls and launching our She Starts Here programme to help even more girls discover the joy of running.”
