The aim of their quiet act was to discourage islanders from returning to a non-environmentally friendly way of living now that lockdown – a period during which recorded emissions dropped significantly in Jersey – has eased.
The group also aimed to inspire action from States Members.
Since the States Assembly agreed to pursue a Carbon Neutral Strategy on 31 December last year, which included the proposal of a Citizens’ Assembly, Jersey’s Red Rebels say they’ve seen “no action towards hearing people on the ground.”
