Meanwhile, the average age of those suffering from the illness at present is 54, with 42% males and 58% females.
The Chief Minister, Senator John Le Fondré, finally revealed the recovery statistics yesterday as part of a briefing on Jersey’s Nightingale hospital, which is being built at Milbrook Playing Field.

The Chief Minister had originally pledged to release the recovery statistics last week after calls from islanders.
He said that so far 2,192 samples had been tested for covid-19, revealing 249 positive results.
The Chief Minister said 153 test results were still pending.

There are currently 63 islanders being treated at the Hospital, 14 of which being are covid-19 patients, he added.
14 Islanders have died, having tested positive or been suspected of having the virus, with 11 of those in the past week alone.

“As of 08:00, today (Monday) we had a total of 134 beds available in the hospital, giving us an occupancy rate of 32%,” Senator Le Fondré continued.
The statistics, which can be viewed here, do not provide a breakdown of the potential sources of covid-19, nor do they show the health profiles of the individuals who have suffered from or died with the illness.
Guernsey has provided such a breakdown, showing that around two fifths of cases are linked with care homes, and all deaths.
In a press conference yesterday afternoon, Jersey’s Chief Minister said it should soon be possible to provide more statistics in a generalised way using percentages so as to protect their privacy.
