A café boasting front-row seats to a harbour view is set to open this winter.
The Shipyard, based at Elizabeth Harbour, will open again this winter to non-travellers after demand from customers.
The café will be open to islanders Monday to Friday from 8am until 1pm, with a children’s play area available, grab-and-go pastries and rolls from Dandy and a selection of hot and cold drinks.
Harbour Master Captain William Sadler said: “We’ve had lots of people asking when The Shipyard would be open to those not travelling, so we’re delighted to be bringing it back this winter. It’s more than just a café.
“It’s somewhere to meet friends, enjoy the harbour views, grab a coffee and cake, and let the children enjoy the play area while you relax. We look forward to welcoming both islanders and visitors through the doors.”
The Shipyard Café will be open to non-travellers throughout the winter from 8 October, although from April 2027 the cafe will return to exclusively serving customers beyond security.
