The regeneration of St Helier is one of the Council of Minister’s strategic priorities. The Future St Helier workshops will take place on Saturday 17 September at the Town Hall and will explore what has been done so far to improve town life.

Stakeholder groups and organisations that represent people who live, work or have an interest in St Helier are invited to attend a workshop session in the morning (from 09:00am to 12:30pm) or in the afternoon (from 13:15pm to 16:45pm).

Attendees will be asked for their feedback specifically on proposals that Ministers have for new traffic management strategies and public open space in town.

Deputy Luce said: “The regeneration of St Helier is a priority for the Council of Ministers. At the last consultation event we listened to what people said was important to them and why.

“These workshops in September will provide us with an opportunity to tell people what we have been doing in response to the challenges that they identified.

“It will also allow us to get their views on some of the short, medium and long-term plans and proposals that we have developed.”

People who are interested in attending a workshop on Saturday 17 September must register in advance by contacting the Department of the Environment by phone on either 01534 448441 or 01534 448458 or via email on futuresthelier@gov.je.
