A hearing has been set for a Jersey resident who smuggled a forbidden item into HMP La Moye.
Joshua Peter O’Brien (36) appeared in the Royal Court via video link on Friday 27 June.
The defendant previously pleaded guilty to supplying a controlled drug, possessing drugs, and conveying a Grade 1 item into HMP La Moye – which would be drugs or a weapon.
A dispute over the facts of the case led to a Newton hearing – when a defendant pleads guilty but disagrees with the prosecution’s version of events – being scheduled for 3 July.
O’Brien is due to be sentenced on 10 July.
