Scott Mills plans to run 96 miles in one weekend – taking his food, water and sleeping bag with him – to raise money for Brighter Futures Jersey and Tiny Toones – a school using hip hop to reach out and educate children living in Cambodia’s city slums.

It will be no mean feat – he’s set himself a challenge that’s three times the distance Royal Marines run to get their famous green berets.

Scott said: “It’s going to be 70% mental, 20% physical and 10% sheer guts and determination….Just hope I’ll still have all my toe-nails at the end of the run.”

He’s hoping to raise £1,000 for each charity – money that will go a long way in Cambodia where every pound pays for a child’s education for a week at Tiny Toones – the school he volunteered at, at the end of last year.
