Mark Graeme Albert Holley died on Sunday 21 October.
All three emergency services were called to the estate. Police cordoned off the streets surrounding Hue Court and asked islanders to avoid the area stating that they were dealing with an “incident” at the block of flats.
At the inquest, the Deputy Viscount, Advocate Mark Harris, said that Mr Holley “…appeared to have jumped from the window of his flat at Hue Court to the floor below.”
Tony Forder, the Police Coroner’s Office in charge of the case said that Mr Holley’s death was not being treated as suspicious.
He added that the Police did not suspect a third party was involved in Mr Holley’s death. He confirmed the Police had no objections to his body being released for funeral arrangements to be made.
Dr Amanda Jeffery, a Forensic Home Office Pathologist, carried out a post mortem examination to interpret and assess Mr Holley’s injuries. She cited multiple injuries as a preliminary cause of death. Histology and toxicology examinations are still pending.
Police inquiries continue and the inquest has been adjourned in the meantime.
