Families who donate their old school uniforms to a local charity shop will be rewarded with a voucher as part of an initiative to promote sustainability and accessibility.
The scheme has been created by Autism Jersey in partnership with M&S.
It allows families to drop off “good quality” used uniforms to the Autism Jersey Boutique and receive a voucher for 10% off school uniforms at M&S in return.
Lesley Harrison, Head of Charitable Services at Autism Jersey, said: “We are delighted to be able to work with the team at M&S Jersey to support those with school-age children and help make their money go a little further in the current financial climate.
“We’re also delighted this scheme will be supporting our ethical and environmental values through the recycling of pre-loved clothing through our Autism Jersey Boutique.”
M&S Jersey managing director Caroline Slowey-Dickinson added: “This scheme not only promotes sustainability through recycling but also makes school uniforms more accessible and affordable for families across our island.
“We encourage everyone to get involved and help make a meaningful difference.”
Parents are requested to donate old uniforms to Autism Jersey by 15 August and use the 10% off vouchers at M&S King Street by 27 September.
