Hannah Blight was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 28.
Despite being in remission for five years, Hannah (33) has now developed secondary breast cancer that has spread to her lungs and is incurable.
Her mum, Adele Fulton, works as a carer at St Ewolds and is trying to raise money to help her daughter complete her bucket list.
Adele explained that, as a single woman living on her own, Hannah had received less support than she might have expected.
When Hannah was first treated, “her financial state was through the floor”.
As a care assistant at the hospital where she is being treated in Plymouth, Hannah “lives for her work,” her mum said.
Adele admitted that it is “hard” being away from her daughter.
But the mother-and-daughter duo have now built up an exciting bucket list of things for Hannah to do – including travelling to Italy to visit a storm spa, which replicates the experience of being in a thunderstorm, and going to Disneyland.
More adventures could include visiting relatives in Australia and New Zealand, or watching England play at Twickenham.
Tickets to see Kylie in concert have already been purchased.
Adele described her daughter as “amazing”.
“She’s given so much to other people, she’s a godmother to her friend’s little boy, she’s always willing to help anybody if she can,” she said.
“It would be so lovely in the time she’s got left to help her.”
Next weekend, Adele will be travelling to Plymouth to see a Queen tribute act with her daughter Hannah and her loved ones.
