Paramedics had found a man in the driveway who’d apparently been stabbed multiple times. He was treated at the scene and later taken to hospital where he died just before 20:30.
Shortly afterwards Police say a suspect was identified in a nearby property and following brief negotiations with officers was detained by Firearms Officers and taken into police custody.
Scenes of Crime Investigators are now carrying out a murder investigation.
No one else is being sought in relation to this incident.
