A Jersey singer-songwriter is preparing for the launch of his new album with a concert later this week.

Rich Allo has performed solo in some of the island’s most popular live music venues including The Blue Note and The Cornerhouse, and at big events such as Weekender, Battle of Flowers and Channel Islands Pride.

He will be taking over Luma Cafe in St Helier tomorrow to launch the debut of his release entitled ‘Letters From A Heart Attack’ – playing the album for its first time yet.

Jersey-born singer and songwriter Rich Allo

Luma Cafe was given the green light to host musicians and DJs in July after approval was granted for a Bailiff’s Annual Entertainment Permit, allowing the venue to host solo performers.

Mr Allo is promising “huge choruses, loud vocals, stories, and a few surprises” within his ten new songs which have been “poured straight out of” his heart.

Luma will serve their usual menu consisting of smash burgers, chicken wings, hot dogs, totchos, burritos and a new selection of Irish specialities. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

Mr Allo will be playing at Luma Cafe from 8pm ton Friday. Read more about Rich Allo’s work and pre-save the new album here.
