Jersey is set to host its second ever tattoo convention next weekend – with some proceeds from the event going towards a mental health foundation set up in memory of a popular local skater.
Taking place on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel in St Helier, the event will see 25 tattoo artists from both local and international backgrounds come together to showcase their skills, alongside two piercers and the new addition of two tooth gem artists.

There will also be entertainment including live music, a mini skate ramp opposite the hotel at Jardins de la Mer, and a selection of pop-up food vendors – with a chilli-eating contest for those feeling brave.
Ash Lewis, co-organiser of the event and owner of Unit 3 Tattoo Studios, said the toughest aspect of organising the event this year was “managing the demand of local tattoo artists” after the success of the inaugural event last year.
This year, the convention has moved to a larger premises.
Co-organiser and fellow tattoo artist Fliquet Renouf said the event’s support for the Danny Cram Foundation was especially meaningful to her.
Danny was a well-loved skateboarder, surfer, snowboarder, and award-winning plumber who took his own life in early December 2024, and the foundation in his name was set up in January to support young adults with their mental health.
At the convention, hand-painted skateboard decks from the participating tattoo artists will be auctioned off to raise money for this cause.
Both Mr Lewis and Ms Renouf said they hoped that overall the event would be a “celebration of art”, providing attendees – inked or not – with the opportunity to learn about the process behind their craft by watching the artists live.
