Islanders are being invited to share their views on the creation of a new exhibition space within the car park at the Jersey War Tunnels ahead of a formal planning application.
Two community engagement sessions are due to take place this week to share information and gather feedback on feasibility proposals for future developments at the historic site.
The plans under review outline the potential creation of a new exhibition space within the main car park, designed as an extension to the existing Visitor Centre building.
The proposed facility would enable the safe display and long-term preservation of historically significant artefacts that cannot currently be shown due to environmental limitations.
In addition, the feasibility scheme includes the reconfiguration of existing car parking areas to improve pedestrian safety and enhance vehicle access across the site.
Members of the public are invited to view display materials detailing the proposals and leave comments to help inform the design process ahead of the submission of a formal planning application.
The consultation sessions will take place at Jersey War Tunnels, Visitor Centre Café, Les Charrières Malorey, St Lawrence, on Monday 2 March 2026 and Tuesday 3 March between 6pm and 7.30pm on each day.
Interested parties are welcome to attend at any time during the sessions and no booking is required.
Representatives from Jersey War Tunnels and the design team will be present to answer questions and discuss the proposals.
