The owner of what might be the island’s most iconic hair is planning on cutting it off – and donating their “trademark tresses” to the Little Princess Trust.
Dr Adam Perchard, who is behind a number of shows and most recently was the host to the island’s Pride celebrations, shared that they would mark their 40th birthday with the donation.
They said: “It’s time to say goodbye to my trademark tresses and donate them to people who need them.
“My hair has been such a huge part of my identity for so long.
“It’s going to be very hard to say goodbye to it, but I love the idea of it helping other people to reclaim their identities in their fight against cancer.”
The Little Princess Trust creates wigs free of charge to children and young people up to 24 who have lost their hair because of cancer treatment or other conditions, and they also fund childhood cancer research.
