Islanders will be able to fly direct to Birmingham and Bristol next summer after Jet2 announced two new Jersey routes.

The Birmingham service will operate three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays – from 2 May to 10 October 2027, while the Bristol route will run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays between 14 May and 11 October 2027.

Jet2 is also increasing capacity on its Manchester route and extending its Jersey summer season through to the end of October.

The expansion means the company will operate from six UK airports to Jersey next summer, with up to 15 weekly flights during peak periods and almost 120,000 seats on sale between the island and the UK.

This represents a capacity increase of more than 140% compared with this summer, according to Jet2.

Ports of Jersey chief executive Matt Thomas said the announcement showed “growing confidence airlines have in Jersey”.

“Increased capacity and a longer season delivers greater choice and improved connectivity,” he added.

“It’s a great boost for our tourism industry, making Jersey more accessible to key UK markets and providing more flexibility for islanders.”

Visit Jersey chief executive Tricia Warwick added: “The addition of new routes from Birmingham and Bristol to Jersey, along with additional capacity and an extended season, is a great boost for the island’s visitor economy and local businesses.”

Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy said the company was “delighted” to be significantly expanding its Jersey programme and offering customers “fantastic choice” for summer 2027.
