The art feature, which sits outside the Regus offices at Liberation Station, consists of hundreds of photos of islanders blended to create a single image of Barbara Jouanny, a Jersey woman who was just 11 when the Occupation started.

Officers explained: “Sometime between 17:00 on Thursday 12 and 09:00 on Friday 13 November a picture has been torn from the vinyl on the wall causing damage to the artwork.”

Anyone who may have seen this or who has any information is asked to contact police on 612612 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its anonymous online form.
