Richard Louis Romeril is accused of attempted rape, sexual touching without consent, and compelling the alleged victim to perform sex acts on him.
He is also accused of creating more than 3,000 indecent images of children.
The case was committed to the Royal Court, where Mr Romeril will appear on 17 November.
He was remanded in custody in the meantime.
